    SilverLake Core Banking
Message Queue / Data Queue Adapter for SilverLake

This adapter enables asynchronous message exchange between the core SilverLake application and the selected integration hub such as IBM's WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus or WebSphere Message Broker. This adapter provides integration to Silverlake's Axis Integrated Banking Solution (SIBS) core-banking product (A complete banking solution that enables banking transformation through information, operations and technology innovations). The adapter is centred around the SilverLake Delivery Service Processor (DSP) as the key integration point to SilverLake breaking away from traditional FTP and socket modes for integration. This message-driven adapter supports both request processing and event notification using the industry leading WebSphere Message Queue (WMQ) as the transport layer and consequently is able to interoperate as a WebSphere Business Integration (WBI) Adapter for WebSphere MQ. A "bridge" component provides a link between the application and WebSphere MQ. An application-specific data handler is included alongwith WMQ and JMS (Java Messaging Service) APIs to aid in transporting business message data. The adapter can support SilverLake's MBASE and ABCS formats.

This adapters allows banking customers to quickly and easily integrate processes that exchange information between SilverLake Core Banking with open standard systems. The adapter's service-enable core banking application by connecting them to the WebSphere Message Broker / WebSphere ESB that powers an SOA. For banks, this open standards-based approach delivers flexible investment protection, increased cost savings, accelerated time to market, and lowered business risk while also delivering extensive functionality and ease of use.

As more and more organizations are closely aligning business goals with IT strategy through an SOA, they are relying on an open standards-based approach that will allow them to model, assemble, deploy, and manage new technology while maximizing existing investments
