Beans Group to attend the opening
ceremony of Hong Kong's Open Source Software Center
(HKOSSC) on 19th September 2007
As a committed software solutions provider in open
source development, Beans group is one of the successful
applicants in porting of her own product onto the open
source platform. Beans group will join the opening and
signing ceremony of OSS Porting Programme which is supported
by Office
of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO)
and Hong
Kong Productivity Council (HKPC).

founding members of Hong Kong's Software Outsourcing
Alliance (HKSOA) on June 2007
Background
In view of the rapidly increasing software outsourcing
business and the complementary competenies of Hong Kong
(HK) and Guangdong (GD), the software industry of both
sides recognized that it is beneficial for the greater
HK/GD to collaborate in this area. Hong
Kong Information Technology Federation (HKITF) and
Guangdong Software Outsourcing Council (GDSOC) have
agreed on the cooperation framework and to establish
a Hong Kong Software Outsourcing Alliance (HKSOA) as
GDSOC's counterpart for further collaborations. With
the support from the Office
of Government Chief Information Officer, HKSOA was
established in June 2007 for achieving the following
objectives:
Objectives
- Facilitate brand building under the Pan Pearl River
Delta image
- Facilitate software outsourcing cooperation between
Hong Kong and Guangdong as well as other potential
mainland and / or overseas regions
- Upgrade the skills and capabilities of the local
software outsourcing industry through experience-sharing
and the development of good industry practices
- Formulate best practices for the local software
outsourcing industry and partners across the boarder
- Development of the local software outsourcing industry
